In a significant move, the hospitality industry takes centre stage as the interim budget outlines substantial opportunities in the tourism sector. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented key initiatives to bolster the tourism industry, emphasizing the pivotal role it plays in India's economic growth.

Furthermore, the hospitality sector is poised for substantial growth, with the market size expected to reach USD 24.61 billion by 2024. The projection estimates a surge in tourist arrivals, reaching 30.5 billion by 2028.


The interim budget's strategic focus on tourism and hospitality reflects a concerted effort to capitalize on India's diverse offerings, spur economic growth, and position the country as a global tourist hotspot.
